could you please try:
1.configure mediaportal to start in windowed mode
2.start mediaportal
3. wait until the powerscheduler hibernates the pc
4.resume the pc
5.do you get a GUI now?

Default black screen problem still persists

Hi infinityloop,
thanks for your answer. I followed your instruction and have exactly the same result:

... repeating endlessly.

So here are some more tests, I did.

- uninstalled, cleaned , installed 0.2.0.0 + SVN of today: MediaPortal.svn / 11.13.2006 / 20.00.Rev11699 -> same result.

- uninstalled, cleaned , installed 0.2.1.0 + SVN of today: MediaPortal.svn / 11.13.2006 / 20.00.Rev11699 -> same result.

- let machine hibernate once via remote from GUI and once withPowerscheduler, both same result.

- Uninstalled, cleaned, installed 0.2.1 freshly without any SVN -> NO problem.
( But 0.2.1 has issues with Powerscheduler, so I cannot use it.)

The problem appeared with new animations and Powerscheduler trying to fix black screen issue.

Send a message via ICQ to Marcusb

I get the same thing. It's also in the other post here Black screen when resume from standby

Although I am not using the TV server, so it should not be in that forum, but the general bug one.

My log shows the exact messages. I'm also using the NVIDIA codecs, but I boubt it's related to that.

In the other thread it was suggested that if you have an MCE Remote you can press the live TV button, which forces a refresh and the screen comes back to life.

Had same issues... I stopped using S1/S3 due to this. Like paloema, I don't use the TV-server.

Default Same issue here and same error in log

I have the same problem, so since the power scheduler does not work well in 2.10 and all builds with the new animations causes this crash I have reverted to 2.0.4

I so miss my 2.10 features!

I get the same issue on both my PC's - One using Nvidia and the other one using ATI.

Both PC's run winxp home (Danish) I wonder if this is an XP home issue, I can't believe that this is not affecting more users.

Ps Any change of getting a 2.10 released with the power scheduler bug fixed? That would really be awesome!

OK, found the SVN when it started to get buggy:

Last working SVN:

MediaPortal-svn--11-12-2006--01-01-Rev11674.exe

First not working SVN:

MediaPortal-svn--11-12-2006--20-00-Rev11685.exe

Changes (from changelog.txt in SVN):

12/11/2006 [09:29:18] _Frodo_ general fixed reentrancy in render call due to fact that GUI is now rendered in its own thread
12/11/2006 [15:04:20] mPod General wait cursor is displayed when directories are loaded
12/11/2006 [20:01:51] Bavarian home fixing broken hover animation
12/11/2006 [23:43:35] rtv MyMovies changed behaviour of database views: show movie duration instead of filesize for sort = name

Hopefully this helps to find the error!
