| Portal Member | Well, I decided to make the leap, backed up and de-installed 0.2.1.0, to try my hand at some SVN testing. OK, I admit it, I wanted to use Harley's XMAS skin. :^) I immediately ran into a problem with my USBUIRT. This is the SVN-snapshot 12176 from: 2006-12-13 1:04 MediaPortal Version: 0.2.0.0 SVN 12176 MediaPortal Skin: BlueTwo Windows Version: XP SP2 + latest updates CPU Type: AMD 64 2GHz HDD: Seagate 200G Memory: Crucial DDR2 533 Motherboard: Asus P5GD2 Premium Motherboard Chipset: Intel 915P/ICH6R Motherboard Bios: Video Card: NVidia GeForce 6600GT Video Card Driver: 6.6.9.3 Sound Card: C-Media HD (Integrated) Sound Card AC3: Sound Card Driver: 5.12.1.8 1. TV Card: AverMedia AverTV WhiteBox (M113) 1. TV Card Type: Analog/Cable 1. TV Card Driver: 2.1.0.41 2. TV Card: 2. TV Card Type: 2. TV Card Driver: 3. TV Card: 3. TV Card Type: 3. TV Card Driver: 4. TV Card: 4. TV Card Type: 4. TV Card Driver: MPEG2 Video Codec: NVIDIA Video Decoder MPEG2 Audio Codec: NVIDIA Audio Decoder Satelite/CableTV Provider: TW Cable HTPC Case: D-Vine Cooling: Power Supply: Remote: TiVoRemote / USBUIRT TV: TV - HTPC Connection: DVI 1) Install USB-UIRT with 1.3 drivers downloaded from this post. 2) Install 0.2.0.0 from scratch 3) Install SVN 12176 using snapshot-installer 4) Run Configuration Wizard (no tab displayed for USB-UIRT) 5) Re-run Configuration, select Remote/USBUIRT panel, displayed messages: USBUIRT driver version: USB device not detected! USBUIRT plugin version: 1.16 (February 18, 2006) Note that I also repeated the above procedure with the USBUIRT driver v1.4, which is the current version available. I read this post, and noted that the newer version of the driver was not detected, but 1.3 is not detetected either. I can also confirm that both driver versions work on 0.2.1.0. I know that this bug has been marked as 'fixed' in the post I referenced, however I cannot confirm this. This is a highly desirable functionality, as I am wishing to try my hand at adapting and81's TV3 External Channel Changer plugin to use the multiple USBUIRT zones/emitters to change channels on multiple STB's, as well as allowing the continued use of my TiVo remote, which is critical to the WAF. I uploaded the logs, not sure how much help they will be ... Thanks! -m |
