Default Latest >3 SVN builds do not run on x64

at least latest 3 SVN builds does not run on x64

what I did:

uninstalled MP & removed all files.
System = XP x64 SP2 + .NET 2.0

reinstalled 0.2.0.0 (works)
added any recent SVN (both mediaportal.exe and configuration.exe crashes on execute, before any window is created)

latest stable build works fine on this computer

latest SVN works on 2 other conmputers, (x86)

... so I assume this only happens on x64, coud somebody confirm ?

Thank you

one of the mods has previously stated that 64-bit is not supported.

really ?

i'm sure 64bit cpus are common.. but i doubt that Windows XP 64-bit is that common on an HTPC system

i would bet that the majority of 64-bit cpus users are still running 32-bit Windows XP.

Do a poll!

Bet > 3 of 4 uses 32-bit XP (even here on this "geek" forum)

yes, but we would not like to use even 1 of 4 users, would we ?
anyway x64 is the way it goes, there's no point in "not suporting it" , and then do a major job to make it work.

well in terms of mediaportal, x64 is NOT the way it goes.

better getting the product working for the majority of the users, rather than the minority.

and 64-bit XP users are definetely the minority.
