TV Card Driver: MPEG2 Video Codec: MPEG2 Audio Codec: Satelite/CableTV Provider: HTPC Case: Cooling: Power Supply: Remote: TV: TV - HTPC Connection: I set my media portal to use external movie player (Media player classic - not that its matter in this case) Now , I want to be able to play .mp4 & .mov files , I added those extensions to the media portal configruation as movies extensions , and as expected they are shown in media portal file list. So far all is great , expect it seems media portal try to analyze the files before playing the movie (which make sense when using the built in player) and gives an error that it cant recognize the file type. If this is true , i think this check simply should not happen when calling external movie player. |
