ok strange issue here.
i have a network drive that stores all my photos. windows can access it all fine (no access rights etc).

MP doesn't load any images from it at all, even though it lets me browse thru the folders etc. it won't create thumbnails and when i try to view an image, i just get a black screen.

local photos seem to load all ok though.

happens on my 2 systems here, so not unique to one PC.
has not worked for me for quite on while on various SVN builds, but it *has* worked before. nothing has changed on the PC side of things.

logs attached

Works fine for me.

You're log says:
Damaged picture file found: \\srv2k3-01\photos$\Erasure 2006 (Edinburgh)\IMG_0176.jpg. Try to repair or delete this file please!

Try to create a new jpg file with paint or something and see if it displays that. If it does then something is indeed wrong with our images.

the images are all fine.
they open perfectly in all other apps.

it's only MP they don't open in.

The easiest way to figure this out is to provide us with one of those images so we can test against it (and see if it is indeed fine) and if not see whats causing the issue.

The image displays just fine here, also from a network share and thumbs are created normally.

Really not sure, I can only suggest reinstalling MP.

it happens on more than one system.. and using various different SVN builds.

a clean install has been tried on one of the systems and didn't fix it.
