Twinhan DTV Sat MyTV unuseable

TV Card: Twinhan DTV Sat Ci
TV Card Type: software
TV Card Driver: BDA 1.2.2.0 www.digitalrise.biz

Case1:

Video Render Type: overlay
Video Codec Type & Version: MPEG2DEC filter / WinDVD7 / DScaler
Audio Codec Type & Version: MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM / WinDVD7 / DScaler

timeshift is dissabled

1. straight to MyTV.
-----Picture is playing
-----Audio is playing
-----CPU Load: CPU Load about 45%

2. start recording.
result:
-----Picture is playing after 5 seconds black
-----Audio is playing after 10 seconds mute
-----CPU Load: CPU Load about 60%

3. stop recording.
result:
-----Picture is playing after 10 seconds black
-----Audio is playing after 10 seconds mute
-----CPU Load: CPU Load about 50%

4. activate Timeshift.
result:
-----Picture is playing after 5 seconds black
-----Audio is playing after 5 seconds mute
-----CPU Load: CPU Load about 70%

5. Timeshift -30 seconds.
result:
-----Picture is playing after 5 seconds black
-----Audio is playing after 5 seconds mute
-----CPU Load: CPU Load about 70%
-----notes: no GUI displayed

6. switched to another free TV channel.
result:
-----channel has changed after 10 seconds
-----Picture is stuttering

7. go to fullscreen mode.

-----Audio is stuttering after 25 seconds mute

8. exit to homescreen
-----Mediaportal is showing HomeScreen

-----notes: it tooks 1 minute to leave MyTV

9. exit Mediaportal
-----Mediaportal has closed

Fresh windows installation, all updates, bda 1.2.2.0 for twinhan, mp 0.2RC1 is not able to setup the card. Can't not create directshow graph. Card not useable

The problem has been described in other threads.

It is the same for Pinnacle, some Hauppauge and other dvb cards.
It is a generic problem in connection with TV capture.DLL
(Directshow is not able to connect the tee filter to BDA digital capture driver of the card: missing or wrong properties)
It is not in conjunction with any bad configuration or harware issue.
Can-you replace the TVcapture.dll file by an older working one of V0.130, and confirm that your card is working again with this file?

If this is confirmed, is-it enough for infinityloop, now, to group the threads about this *same* very critical bug (MP v0.2 is just usable to play tetris;-) and report -it in an accurate way in Mantis ?

iam sorry but you are not right.
Koschel has allready found out what caused the "Can't not create directshow graph" problem. he will post his results after more testing

I'll add two samples of remote graph from graphedit in my original post.
One with the new dll, one with the old.
Juste have a look.

I've got 2 PCs working with the twinhan (1.2.20) and 0.2rc1, both with TVCapure.dll came with the 0.2RC1. Definitly the Skystar 2 needs an older version of this dll, to record. (Thread here )

Guys I took a quick look at the code around the area where the error is reported to the log and to be honest there isn't a great deal that can go wrong at the MP side, instead it would appear that the required filter is not registered, although that filter is implemented in ksproxy.ax which is a key player in DirectShow so I find it very strange that this error is occuring but would ask that those who experience the problem navigate to:

%systemroot%\system32

And once then confirm that they have a ksproxy.ax and take note of its version number, if it is there you may wish to do a:

regsvr32 %systemroot%\system32\ksproxy.ax

And then try once more, the relevant code was added the day prior to the RC being built.

For reference, my version number is 5.3.2600.2180.

if i have got you right the ksproxy.ax could be reponseable for the "Can't not create directshow graph" problem right?

that would explain why some people cant get the Nova-T working and some people have no problem with this TV-card.

i will have a look if the ksproxy.ax is registered in my HTPC (i dont have this "Can't not create directshow graph")
maybe it is also causing the issues i have posted.
