My Trailers will not play a trailer or a clip | CVS 11-10-2005--23-04

This is the same error that I get when I try to play an MP3 file in MyMusic (refer to this post).

However, I can watch other video files that I have, without getting these errors.

Also, I can copy and paste the "mms://" link into IE and it will play fine in Windows MediaPlayer10....

Steps to reproduce:-

1. Launch MediaPortal and select My Trailers
2. Select a move and then select a trailer or clip to view. Nothing happens - no black screen or any other signs of activity....
3. Wait approximately 30 seconds and try the same trailer or clip again - MediaPortal then aborts....

This problem has only appeared since I installed .NET Framework 2.0 and applied the latest CVS.

I had the same with My Trailers till I deactivated the Hauppage Remote in MP setup.

Were you using a Hauppauge remote control unit?

I am using the MCE2005 remote control unit, so the Hauppauge is not activated in my case.

Yes, I have the Hauppauge remote control. But when I use it bij activating it in MP Setup I can't watch movietrailers (black screen). When I deactivate it watching movietrailers is ok.

I just downloaded mediaportal-cvs-11-21-2005--23-07.rar and have no errors with it.

Yahoo changed the site, without asking me so i had to change the code again. Thats why you got these errors:

I have just applied the latest CVS (12-05-2005--23-09) and there is partial success....

The first time that I enter My Trailers (from a fresh launch of MP), I can select and play a trailer. However, if I stop the playing and exit My Trailers and then re-enter My Trailers (without doing anything else), it will no longer play any clips or trailers. MediaPortal does not exit or freeze, it just will not play any files....

Notice the error message in red.....

I get exactly the same behaviour when trying to play MP3 files - see here for that problem.

Now this is really weird - I just tried to reproduce the problem so I could submit some system log files - and I can't make the problem occur!

I can't make it occur within My Music, nor within My Trailers - the problem has magically cured itself....

I can't recall making any changes today (and the problem has plagued me all day) that would explain why I can no longer reproduce it - except that I did re-boot my PC about an hour ago.....maybe that was the fix?....:confused:
