Hi Nosh,
For what I see from your log files, the problem is with MPSA filter. You are having a problem with EPG grabing. Could you try to test with the latest MPSA.ax registered and disabling dvb epg grabber?

without EPG there is no crash and hang, but the TV window is always black.
What is the meaning of this log message: "Technotrend: service cannot be decoded because the CAM is not ready yet"

Hi Nosh,

The CAM needs some time to initialize. During this time, it cannot decode any channel. It takes around 5 or 6 seconds to initialize. I have the following problem: If I start Mediaportal by double clicking the icon or from a command-line, the CAM never finishes its initialization. But if I start MediaPortal from the Task Manager->new task, everything works ok. So maybe you have the same problem as I do. Nobody has found this problem except me so maybe it only affects some of us. I still don't know the reason. Could you test if starting MediaPortal from taskManager does the trick for you? I will chase this problem as soon as I get more info from Technotrend.
Tell me if you have the same problem or post your logs to see I can find anything else.

it sounds like a timing problem to me. But your trick with the "new task" doesn't work for me, perhaps the timing on my computer is different. I wait till you get more info from Technotrend.

I cant watch encrypted channels.
I also tried starting Mediaportal from the Icon and from Tasmanager. Same result.

Addition:
Somewhat confusing happened:
I tried out without CAM inserted in CI.
But in log MP tells me, CAM is VIACCESS.
Also with CAM inserted it talks about VIACCESS. But I have an Alphacrypt Light CAM.

OK, CAM seems to work now. I can watch encrypted channels.

I installed the latest CVS.
But I did a complete reinstall.
I uninstalled MP. Deleted the MP-Folder. Installed RC2 + latest CVS. That was it.

With RC3 + CVS it seems also to work.
