Error on startup - Page 2

Finally I have tried using 128 MB for the graphics but still no luck. I have also tried a couple of the latest svn's. Does anybody know what can cause this directx failure?

Hi,
You could test to re-install DirectX, i know that has helped someone, but don't remember if it was exact the same issue.

I had exeact the same problem. See my log here:

I also went back to revision 13000. Now i can still do my plugins. But I can not update anymore.

I looks there is something strange. I was looking on the directx render, thought it is a problem of the zbuffer. But I never found the problem so far.

I will try the 13718 soon. - crash my PC

now 13172 - works

So nice to hear others have the same problem, though it doesnt help much

I have tried reinstalling directx and everything with the same results.

I have similar video card (SIS 561) and default BlueTwo (latest SVN) is behaving also badly.
But I've got workaround as well

Go though your skin folder xml files and look for string - flipy="true"
and delete that.

for example

<texture flipY="true" diffuse="Thumb_Mask.png">basichome_logo.png</texture>

becomes

<texture diffuse="Thumb_Mask.png">basichome_logo.png</texture>

This fixed blank screen problems for me!

Jaano, you are the man... Just solved my "MP freezes randomly even after a complete reinstall of XP"-Problem
in 5 minutes

(Btw: I'm using MP on a AMD R690 mainboard with ATI X1250 integrated graphics... )
