Writing to the log file very often so the logfile and error log got to above 300MB each and eventually filled my system partition too. If delete of an old recording fails, it seems to keep trying to delete thate same file forever a couple of times each second. Maybe we need to handle low disc space just with a simple message to the user when either disc quota is not used, or when an attemt to delete a recording fails. It will at least keep MP from crashing or generating huge logfiles. (I can't find a way to disable the disc quota in the setup. Am I just blind?) Attached is the first lines of the giant MP logfile. System resumes after standby to record, but disk is full. DiskManagement tries to remove recording ...then loops /Bosso

Country: | I get this too. I think the best way to handle is if the file you are trying to delete doesn't exist, move on to try to delete the next file. Keep trying the next until the space is cleared. This has been a problem for quite a while and a few attempts to fix have been made, but I guess it's a rare issue, so hard to know when it's fixed properly. |

| That should be a nice fix. I'd also like to be able to turn the disc quota feature off. The problem must also be that the tv-database is not valid, since it finds a show that is not existing.

| It happend again today. This time the logs were much smaller. One thing I have noticed, if I manually delete a recorded show in "Recorded TV" both the entry in the database and file don't always get deleted. So for example if the file gets deleted but not the database entry, then when the quota checks what to delete it still sees the entry in the database but the file dosen't exist so it can't delete it. I really hope this will get fixed soon. It seems to happen almost everyday. And I have to restart the computer and manually delete the logs before I use MP. |
