[BUG] MP cant display some Cover

i found a Bug in MP.

Mediaportal cant display the Cover of Music-file if are special characters in the album id-tags.

Here is the Cover in the Artist Folder

but in the Album Folder its gone

i ve test more as 2 weeks and today i found the reason

Here a example

Album ID Tag: Thriller - CD 1 MP dont display a Cover
Album ID Tag: Thriller MP found the Cover

Hi,
Not seen that here, please test with BlueTwo & if the same happens there attach your logs using MPTestTool.
You should also describe if you use db view & where this prob occur.

the same problem with BlueSkin. In the german Forum more Members have this problem.

Hi,
I can't reproduce it here so to be able to go further you need to attach logs(use BlueTwo, when you do that)

Hi,
I have added a song in the same way as you & can't confirm it.
I can see in your log that online tv-series trows alot of errors about corrupted db.

But back on the Music issue:
1. Do you use database views in MP gui(artist, album, etc) & if which one?
2. Have you scanned your mp3's with "MP Config -> Music -> Music Database -> Update database from shares?
3. Does your mp3's have image in it & or folder.jpg in each folder?

Hmmm, done the same as you & i'm not seeing this.
Can you upload 1 song which has this problem in the same folder tree & image in a zip file to the ftp?

upload a song with a copyrigth?

u can test it yourself

take mp3tag
Mp3tag - Download

drag and drop a folder with a album. edit on the left side the album name with a "-"

example: Greatest Hits - CD1

Push the Save Button

Delete the Thumbs-Music, rescan the Database and you will that the Covers are gone.

Hi,
Have already made tests like that & cannot reproduce it, even tested with 1 - Sometext on all text tag fields in a mp3 & still can't reproduce.
One thing you should do it's to install a clean MediaPortal 0.2.3.0 final(without any 3'rd party plugins/skins) & see if it's still the case. You can do this easily by renaming all MP folders & install it once more(remember to uninstall TVPlugin if you use that)
