In the test, I started in one channel and changed to each channel in my ATSC group in succession. Waiting a minute before changing. Several channels changed with little noticeable delay. but midway, and again twice toward the end of the test, the video played with no sound, for at least a minute, then froze, while the audio caught up, then the channel played correctly. I had already applied the fix for the 'time bug' mentioned earlier. A different issue showed up while using Dscaler as the filter, which prompted this test (I switched out the filter before the test). When I changed channels (not on all channels) The first frame would freeze and wouldn't change till I changed channels again, where the video of the previous channel would run correctly, for a minute, then would switch to the currently changed-to channel. So it looks like two, but related, issues. Do you want the test with Dscaler as well? Thanks Chuck 'edit' I switched Dscaler back in and the above issue with the native filter occurred, instead of the delayed-channel switch (?) ... so... I'm not sure if it made a difference to change filters or not, so the delayed-channel switch issue might show up again. Last edited by 2BitSculptor; 2008-05-03 at 21:14. |

Country: | I used ffdshow for both audio and video. The issue of catch-up audio seems to be resolved, as well as the delayed-channel issue. Now The channel I switch to just hangs on the first frame, with no video. I switch to the next channel fine, returning back to the channel it only sometimes hangs. The issue doesn't always happen on the same channel, there doesn't look like a pattern. The Channel could be either ATSC SD or HD. as far as mono audio, I don't know how to check what it is. new logs below. I will try it with PowerDVD 7. Chuck |

Country: | Now with PowerDVD 7 The audio catch-up is back.. seems to be mostly on HD channels (at least thats what the station logo says), although one SD channel seemed to have a short audio lag. There didn't seem to be much video lag, and no hang. new logs Chuck |
