If "EPG grabbing while idle" is not flagged the system resumes from standby and TV3 server works as expected. If I select "EPG grabbing while idle" TV3 doesn't respond anymore after resuming from standby and I have to kill and restart the service. I am using WinXP and MP/TV3 RC1. I will try to deliver logs in the evening.

May possibly be connected, do post your logs when you can as the failure is easy to see.

I haven't seen the 'bug' affect single tuner cards though only dual tuner cards.

Got away from the epg as being the culprit, this is about TVServer not responding on 2 identical timed recordings, which use both tuners on a single pci card (ie Hauppauge T500), and then going into standby.

SciDoctor has already stated, individual cards are not effected by this particular problem, so should not be related to your 2 individual DVB-S cards epg problem.

SciDoctor beat me to it, yes logs won't hurt.

I have a Nova T-500 too but I don't put my system into standby at the moment so don't have any problems like this.

Fancy trying

Very easy to reproduce, you need in TVServer setup\general Detect cards delay 20 secs, Powerscheduler Reinialise tuners on resume enabled, and you should be good to go in\out of standby.

Record 2 identical timed programs on different transponders, ITV\BBC does that.

An even simpler test .

Open setuptv.

Do a full scan with both tuners of the T-500. Scan tuner 1 and then scan tuner 2.

Go to manual control and stop the service.

The service will hang with the second tuner not decomposing properly.(see lyour logs)

Also change the recording directory of both tuners of the T-500, go to 'manual control' and the service will probably hang. (This may have been fixed as the TVSERVICE doesn't buil a graph to change the recording folder like it used to but still worth a test).

The above two are a little annoing BUT the main problem is the decompose prior to standby/hibernate .

Looks like a very different bug.

Try dissabling diskmanagement as this possibly could be a problem espeacialy on resume.

If this doesn't help start a new thread with a clean set of logs and describe the problem fully as best you can.

How could you know? Disabling DiskManagment fixed the issue. Anyway, what I can see up to now it is the combination of DiskManagement and EPG idle grabbing that causes TVServer to freeze after resume. I have to dig deeper an will open a new thread.
Thanks for your help.
