I can access TV server and see all the TV channels and names of recorded shows, however I'm unable to playback the material. Locally on the same machine where I have TVServer it works well.

I should've installed all hotfixes and font size is normal. I haven't tried using remote client for a couple of months, but back then it did work.

Logs reveal some errors:

Btw, I've read this post:
No picture on remote client pc

But my TVserver PC has only one IP.

Hi,
Seems like something went wrong(TSReader.ax doesn't seem to be registered) when you applied the svn, so try to apply it again..

Regards
Roy

Hi,
Then attach your new logs to see if it got registered this time.
Also try to disable firewall to see if it helps

Thanks - disabling Windows firewall on the CLIENT side did the trick! (It's already disabled in server side.)

Btw, MediaPortal was already listed as an exception in XP's firewall config - what could one do in the FW to enable client? I would not like to disable to FW altogether.

Hi,
If you installed using deploytool it should add MediaPortal correct to Firewall rules(if you use Windows) & Firewall should ask you when it blocks ports. At least here it does.

Roy

Hi,
Juppe, according to the logs your problem wasn't the same(log wise), but usually to test you should disable firwall on both. If that does it you have to open ports for MediaPortal & Configuration on client comp & for TVServer & "sqlserver" & "sqlbrowser" should be enough.

Regards
Roy
