not a bug TV Freeze after install of SVN

TV-Server Version: TV Server 1.0 RC1 Refresh
MediaPortal Version: MediaPortal 1.0 RC1 Refresh
MediaPortal Skin: Monochrome
Windows Version: Windows Vista Business
CPU Type: AMD 64-X2 5600+
HDD: Samsung Spinpoint 400 and 500 (SATA), Western Digital 500 SATA
Memory: 2x 1gb Corsair
Motherboard: Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce FX 8600GT
Video Card Driver: 169.35
Sound Card: Onboard
Sound Card AC3: Coaxial Out
Sound Card Driver:
1. TV Card: FloppyDTV
1. TV Card Type: DVB-C
1. TV Card Driver: 4.8.0
2. TV Card: Hauppauge PVR 350
2. TV Card Type: Analog
2. TV Card Driver: Vista driver
MPEG2 Video Codec: Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder (PDVD 7)
MPEG2 Audio Codec: Cyberlink Audio Decoder (PDVD 7)
h.264 Video Codec: Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (PDVD 7.x)
Satelite/CableTV Provider: Voo Cable (SECA)
HTPC Case: mCubed hfx classic
Cooling: hfx Borg passive CPU cooler
Power Supply: Yesico 550W fanless
Remote: Hauppauge 45 button
TV: LG 37LC3R
TV - HTPC Connection: DVI to HDMI

TV works fine in preview in TV Server configuration. In MediaPortal it remains stuck on one of the very first frames. Changing channels shows the first frame of the next channel. Sound does not play either.

I performed the upgrade twice, once without MPA/MPV and once with. Made no difference. Going back to 1.0 RC1 Refresh fixed the issue both times.

If you need more info to look into this, let me know. Mediaportal Tool logs attached.

Exactly the same symptoms here too on Vista Premium and with Hauppauge 4000. Will post logs later.

Is there a reason for the crop setting?

And your screen setting of 617x340 seems odd.

The crop setting is because some of the digital channels have some white "chitter" at the top. If I crop 2 pixels, these disturbing lines disappear.

As for the weird screen settings, I have no clue... I will remove the crop setting and retry later today.

Edit: the weird screen setting is because I had only viewed TV in the small "preview" window in TV Home. I just watched TV twice, once in the small preview with the same result and once fullscreen with the following result

Excellent question indeed. It seems it get stuck only when audio is set to PowerDVD codec.
I ran some combinations:
video: powerDVD, audio: MPA or ffdshow: all fine
video: mpv or powerdvd, audio: powerdvd: image stuck.

This also made me notice that the PowerDVD audio options being reset after switching on TV (PowerDVD audio configuration reset by entering TV) only happens if powerdvd is selected for TV audio. Kind of logical but wanted to mention it anyway.

i have the same issue with Cyberlink as audio codec. with MPA it works like a charm.

Well, this fits in the same category as the other issue I reported with PowerDVD codec and TV, where PowerDVD audio gets reset to stereo if it is used as audio decoder for TV. Since I am only getting stereo even from my digital TV provider, I have no problem using another codec for audio.

I don't remember which audio codec I used before switching to RC1. As I am struggling with bad digital reception, and after one month I have not yet pinpointed the origin, I am starting a parallel installation on a second disk under Windows XP. I will start by making a pre-RC1 install with SVNs from end of february or early march, when my digital capture was still working right, and I will do a test about PowerDVD audio settings.

Still present in SVN Rev 19010. I can provide logs if this helps. Unless devs decide this is not an MP-issue in which case I drop it and stick to MPA or ffdshow.

I can confirm this one.
With PowerDVD Audio codec picture freezes and with MPA it works ok.
Allso i noticed that cropping does´t seem to be applied when using PowerDVD audio codec (wierd )
I attaced my logs. There seem to be a lot of lines for cropping looks almost as a loop. Sorry for rar´ing the logs but due to my nLiteXP ZIP functionality is disabled.
