Hi all,

I have an intresting problem with the latest release. I did a fresh install and all seems well, except with the import of TVGuide.xml.

I've configure TVServer to read the TVGuide.xml I get from WebEPG.exe. When I do a manual import it reads all entries and create them in the db. Then I leave TVServer for a little while until it has done an automatic import of the same file, and now it found no entries...

I've tried to enable and disable the ""Delete old programs..." option but it doesn't make any difference.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start TVServer config tool and map channels in XmlTV plugin

2. Do a manual import and check the number of programs imported. I get 14 channels and 2299 programs in the attached logfile.

3. Wait until TVServer has done an automatic import (I'm not sure why it is done since it is supposed to happen only when the TVGuide.xml is changed...)

4. In TVServer it still reports 2299 programs, from my previous import.

5. Check the logfile, it states 14 channels, 0 programs imported.

Any ideas?

/Peter

Hi,
Not able to confirm this issue, you can try to open TVGuide.xml in notepad & save it(should trigger new import) & leave it & see if it works. Maybe double import can cause issues(one from manual force in TV Setup & automatic from within TV Server).

Regards
Roy

Hi Roy,

Thanks for your reply. I tried your suggestions but no success I'm afraid...

I'm a bit confused as the same version, same install path, same webepg.xml, same channels, same etc, works on my other PC. If I use that tvguide.xml on my HTPC I still get the this bad behavior...

I've now tried to reinstall TVServer but it still reports "14 channels, 0 programs, tvguide.xml: No programs found".

There is nothing in the log that indicates why there is a problem... It is possible to enable more logging?

Another thing I've noticed is that every time I do a manual import it seems to trigger an automatic import right after, see below:

Hi,
You have mapped the xml import channels to tv db channels, in TV Setup -> Plugins -> XMLTV -> Mappings?

Yepp, and I guess if I hadn't then the manual import would not work either, or?

But I have double-checked and the channels are mapped successfully.

Hi,
The same happens if not mapped because it reads x channels from TVGuide.xml & can't bind it to tvdb channels, but i dunno why this fails for you.
Btw you're not combining DVB-x epg with XMLTVGuide?

Regards
Roy

Hi Roy,

I do not combine DVB-T EPG with TVguide.xml, I only use TVguide.xml.

Anyway, I got a little desperate and decided to try an older xmlTVImport.dll. When I replaced the new .dll with this one it started to work. So I shifted back to the original and it still works... No idea what happened but now it works
