I'm running MP RC3 on an extended desktop display.

while running, the keyboard typing turns extremly slow. once it's closed, they the typing speed returns to normal.

I think that this might be the problem -

Video Card: ATI RADEON 9250

you need a Directx 9 card for MediaPortal, and I think that the ATI Radeon 9550 is the minimum?

if you're using remote

check if under
mp config - remote - general hid - support input even if mp is in background is checked.

uncheck it and try

forgot that i changed the settings there.
