Mediaportal does not exit cleanly (ie mediaportal.exe does not terminate) when the minidisplay plugin is enabled. From the error log, it looks like minidisplay is trying to do something with IRSS?? Is that a requirement of minidisplay? 008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: Exception ystem.InvalidOperationException: Cannot stop InputService service on computer '.'. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The service has not been started--- End of inner exception stack trace --- at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.Stop() at MediaPortal.ProcessPlugins.MiniDisplayPlugin.Drivers.iMONLCDg.Dispose() at MediaPortal.ProcessPlugins.MiniDisplayPlugin.MiniDisplay.Stop() at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.PluginManager.Stop() at MediaPortalApp.OnExit() at MediaPortalApp.Main(String[] args) 2008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: Exception :Cannot stop InputService service on computer '.'. 2008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: site :Void Stop() 2008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: source ystem.ServiceProcess2008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: stacktrace: at System.ServiceProcess.ServiceController.Stop() at MediaPortal.ProcessPlugins.MiniDisplayPlugin.Drivers.iMONLCDg.Dispose() at MediaPortal.ProcessPlugins.MiniDisplayPlugin.MiniDisplay.Stop() at MediaPortal.GUI.Library.PluginManager.Stop() at MediaPortalApp.OnExit() at MediaPortalApp.Main(String[] args) 2008-12-01 11:35:06.375000 [ERROR][MPMain]: MediaPortal stopped due to an exception Cannot stop InputService service on computer '.'. | MP Donator ![]() | Problem solved, or at least "worked around". I had IRSS installed, but the service disabled (was waiting for Aaron for some updates as I could never get it working with my iMON remote). Uninstalled IRSS and problem went away. Still, MP should not crash just because IRSS is installed but disabled. |
