Hi Chris,

Here`s my suggestion:

1) Go in your MP setup and disable every possible plugin that you can deal with.

2) If you are still experiencing the cpu issue, then you should start looking at external stuff that MP might be depending on (ie. ffdshow, programs added recently, Windows upgrades and patches, etc...)

3) If the problem disappears after step 1, then re-enable the plugins one by one and carefully monitor your cpu between each one until you catch the bad guy.

4) One last solution would be to work with Windows task manager and `kill`every non-system process that you can, one of them might be giving MP a rough time, never know.
