@Hildebrandt: Yes, please take a look into the FAQ. Download and install Haali, do not forget to tick "AVI" as supported format.
You can change the mappings of your remotes in Configure->Remote->MCE
The action is called NEXT_SUBTITLE or something like this, its usually on the yellow button (if you have coloured ones
)
