Default New Schedules Concept

edit by infinityloop: i outsourced this post from ::this thread:: because this idea realy deserves its own thread

i-loop, great idea as always.

So since you didn't yet touch the schedule section, I did an attempt.

I liked the idea/concept this much, that I made some thoughts about how the Schedules section could be structured when using your kind of input mode. So I came up with the following (please disregard my limited skinning/graphics capabilities, its just to demonstrate the concept).

So what I am basically thinking of is the same structure with a big button in the middle of the screen, here to be used to schedule a new recording (clicking it leads to Search). This button always stays centered, regardless what subscreen is entered/activated.

Left and right from this button there are areas in which different info is to be shown. On the left I have a list of the upcoming schedules (order chronologically). On the right there is a list of the series schedules. Main screen would look like:

If then using cursor left I activate the first upcoming schedule. This instantly changes the right list to show the EPG-Info for that schedule. That looks like:

If from main screen using cursor right I activate the first series schedule. This instantly changes the left list to show all upcoming episodes for this series schedule. That looks like:

I hope you guys like this idea, as I think this is gonna be very clear and well structured.

Regards
