Well, I actually watch live TV almost all the time, using MP to pause and record something I like.. I do set up recordings from time to time but that's not the only usage of MP for me.. I guess there are other people like me who just like to have TV on for sound and for something to go on.. So, it would be nice to keep in mind that too, when one is designing new interface..
What I would like to ask the developers to put in is the ability to 'overlap' the recordings when they are following one another on the same channel. Currently you have to set up pre- and post-recording times (usually few minutes). So, when I want to record few different shows that follow each other on the same channel, I have to manually change pre- and post-recording times for each show, which gets annoying if there are 3-4 shows in a row and you are using only a remote.. It should not be difficult to just ignore those 'buffer' times for all the shows inside the lineup and just do pre-recording buffer for the first show and post-recording buffer for the last one.. Hope this makes sense.
