Thats fine if using analog but under digital you can change the channel numbers via MP

under mytheatre, showshifter, mce, gbpvr the channels numbers correspond to what they are via the digital signal.

There are many gaps between our freeview channels, and the way they are setup, is in such a way that channels are grouped together, with space for extra channels when they become available
