Hmmm - that's interesting. What was your source of "proper film material".
It was a HD mpeg-2 film in a TS container ripped from some HD channel.

I was playing that back in 60 Hz. Maybe my problem is with PAL film, I cannot set my LCD TV to 50 Hz, so it is a mismatch there. Maybe that is why PureVideo cannot set film mode for me in some instances.

I'll investigate a bit more on this with different film materials and refresh rates (on my PJ wich can set 50 Hz).
