Nop, if you want, you need to use my patch, remember the are two zip files, One for Rc1 and another for RC1+SV1

A: Yes, I tried RC1 w/o patch and could not play dvr-ms files (any).

re: "Because I have check your logs and you have other problems that are not releted to this Patch."
A: I saw the errors in the log, but given they did not appear to be limiting me (yet) I haven't tried to figure out what they mean nor how to fix them.
Q: Do you see any critical errors that may be related to this issue that I need to prioritize resolving?

re: Also, do you have Vista or XP?"
A: XP Pro

re: "go to MP Configuration/Movies/MoviePlayer and select "AUtomatic decoder Setting"
A: I think it defaulted to MPV Decoder(?) and I had the same issue so I set it to Nvidia Decoder and had same issue. I'll play around with the settings this evening when at home and verify if it changes anything by changing that selection.

Thanks for the continued suggestions,

I don't think MPV is going to be able to decode Hdef material, you need PowerDVD ..
So yes, I think your problem is codecs problem..
If you are able to play SD MSDVR with my patch and HD DVR is not possible, then there is a Codec problem.. check with automatic codec selecction or set powerDVD as codec..

Hope this helps!

For patches in general: keep them seperated. Here in forums, to make t possible to discuss one patch in one thread, and also on sourcforge, so that if one patch is applied to mp, the patch-entry can be closed, while the other will keep opened.

Thanks!
