I had the same issue as above. Today I reinstalled the following:

PowerDVD 8;
AC3 Filter;
Haali Media Splitter;
MP RC1;
FFDSHOW;
CoreAVC;
VSFilter;

All the above are the latest versions released, the problem has been fixed
