If the physical location of the files is stored in the database (I think this is the case), I'm sure it should be possible to have a folder view that takes its information from the database instead of physically reading the folder.
What I have done to speed things up a little is to put the thumb folder on a RAMdrive. This helps a bit although ideally I would like it to be even faster. I would also like an hourglass cursor or the turning circle, please wait, thingy. As it is now I enter a folder and the whole thing hangs for 10 seconds until the folder is listed. No feedback that MP is actually doing something. This may just be a skin implemantation. |
