Yes, the update requirements really suck. I spent so much time (I tried 5 different OS'), without succeeding in the end. I don't understand why they use 16-bit modules... it's so outdated. I had a co-worker update my CAM with his DVB-S receiver but my Software still shows the old version but I don't want to send it to MASCOM either. Maybe the only way left is to look for local shops who are able to update it. (I haven't forgotten you, limpwhizkid... but I don't think it makes a difference driving 50km or paying 10€ for a local store to update it (if I find one
