Since 1.0 RC1, TV has got very stable with my SkyStar2, so I decided to take the step and buy a second one that I could watch and record TV in parallel.

At the first look it seemed to work well, I tested rec + view and both cards were active. After some days, however, something locked up and MP cannot show TV, plus CPU load is 100% (Task Manager shows 'System' being the cause). A deeper look revealed that the SkyStar2 driver is causing the load. Even after a reboot, the driver starts taking up the CPU load as soon as MP attempts to grab EPG or stream a channel. Only de-installing and re-installing the card's drivers helps remove the problem - until it appears again...

I have read through some other forum threads, and it may be related to S3Standby / Resume.

Now my desperate question is: is there anybody out knowing about this problem, or using two SkyStar2 PCI cards without problems? Technisat would not comment on this, their FAQ reads that at most one PCI card can be used in a system...

Regards
Frank
