Oh sorry I am in Australia. I also tried getting the icons from the download section to work but it did not work
When I go to it there are no station icons I put in there nor on some channels i see data. And this is the epg grabbing enabled. I was to afraid to see how other plugins would work for EPG so did not try yet.

If you are using the Movies section, then from MP config\movies\database you should do your scan from there, if you chose to download actors as well, be aware it is then very slow, 200 files will take about 3-5 hours, depending on your internet speed.

Will have to check what I did here. As far as I remember I scanned everything in MP config\movies\database. And when the scan finished in the morning it showed me some files it could not get info for, I ignored it since they where not movie files but my personal stuff.

Cannot help with the CRT, what is your graphics card, as there are lots of tweaks to get a good picture depending on the graphics processor installed..

See here where I get confused. As I understand VMC uses the codec I choose via VCP 4.xx The video is beautiful on the same TV with the same 7600GT AGP graphics card. Are you saying MP uses some other renderer. If it is then it either had inferior picture or I am definitely not doing something wrong. If it aint then something is missing either way
Anyway I tried installing some other plugins and it seems to have broken my MP instal. MP loads fine but MP config gives me an error
'Failed to locate assembly 'Plugin base, version 0.9.2.39317
culture = neutral, publickey =null'
note that the config progam must be executed from/reside in the MP folder'
Its not allowing me to go to pugins section and just crashes with this message.
I knew the installation of plugins would break something because you see not all of them have the same instructions. some say put it your plugin/windows folder,some ask to just put it in the MP folder etc. To give you an example, I downloaded a plugin which had a dll files and another folder. I put the dll of the plugin in the plugin/windows folder but was scratching my head to figure out if the folder should go along with it, but wait the windows folder only contains dll's. Well now we know why it is broken.
Dont get me wrong. I do understand some of you are brilliant at this but a novice like me will need more help
When I got to your site and read about MP I was very very exited at the features it offers. And even now I desperately want it to work. you guys are doing a wonderful job. Keep it up
thanks
