Hi, fisrt post on here. Ive recently built a htpc. im running mediaportal and i had it all working fine. playing dvds from disc and hdd, watching tv through it and even picking up bbc hd. i then set about following a guide to upscale dvds to 1080p by using ffdshow. i did what the guide said and when i ran mediaportal it wasnt upscaling and there was no audio. i closed media portal to see if it was the pc but it wasnt because in windows i can get audio for music and videos when i open them in different players. i uninstalled ffdshow and re installed it and used a different guide and it worked. videos were being upscalled to 1080 but i still dont have any sound. any ideas on what could have casued this problem??
