Default Probelms with latest SVN's

I can no longer use this as MP crashes, nothing in the logs just an entry on the Application event log.

I have posted a support thread on my ASIO probelms with latest SVN's but just wanted to if anyone else is using ASIO and MP SVN's since 17454 is having the same issues or just me?

Thanks

.

At what point exactly does it crash? Just did a quick test and it seems to work fine.

It happens the second you press play, this is not a problem with your Plugin but an issue with current SVN's and ASIO4ALL I suspect.

I just tried the current MP SVN (MediaPortal-svn--03-01-2008--18-05-Rev17666) and the result is the same, nice dialog box telling you MediaPortal has stopped working the second you hit enter/play

I posted a link to the problem I was having as I was trying to find out if anyone else had the problem, just in case I have something odd in my setup up - I doubt it as going back to 17453 all works.

This happens if I use your plugin or the inbuilt support.

Are you using ASIO4ALL?

Thanks

Trevor

Symphy,

Just tested the plugin with the current SVN (17723) and this does function for me, the error log contains entries for all files in the directory like this...

I attatch the logs, this all used to work (and still does) with SVN versions prior SVN 17453, guess something might have changed internally.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

I have the same problem with latest SVN's. MP imediatly crashed when starting to playback some music. I'm also using ASIO4ALL driver. Maybe it's Vista related. Are all the persons with this problem Vista users?

I have a similar issue but it seems to be related to the vis_milk2.dll file.
Delete it and MP works perfectly - place it in the D:\Program Files\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MusicPlayer\plugins\visual izations directory amd I get a crash EVERY time!!

Did think that some plugin/addition could be the cause, I am testing on a clean install, only plugin is PureAudio, the main HTPC has Milkdrop installed so will try removing and test that.

I have repeated this of 4 other systems..all are running Vista Ulitmate 32bit....do all those having this issue run Vista, anyone on Vista running ok?

Thanks

Xp Pro here - sorry!
Try disabling UAC too - though that has some other weird sh*t side effects sometimes

Edit: ok i get the same problem now after installing 17778 on my HTPC, and did some debugging.
The plugin is not being started at all, even though it reports correctly that the file being played is supported.
This means it's not related to asio4all, but looks like a problem in MP's plugin logic...
Funny thing is, when i make a build myself from the sourcecode, it works just fine

As soon as i know more I'll let you know.
