Hey sleepycol. I am guessing you are not using TVServer? If so, yes, that is 'normal'. The Group button is only supported in TVServer, not in TVE2 (inbuilt TV Engine) which is no longer supported and being removed in MP 1.1.

You can try aMPed (4:3 skin). We didn't implement the Group button yet because of this.

Do you know which skin file I need to modify to remove the group option?

You are right, I'm using TVE2. It does all I need for TV.

It's mytvguide.xml. Just remove the last two controls:
TvGroup button
TvGroup button label

We didn't implement it in aMPed 2.0 yet because it is not supported by TVE2 (which I miss a lot!) and we will probably keep a backwards compatible file for awhile since some users are planning to stay with TVE2 as long as they can.
