Everything else seems to be ok, but its a real PITA that i can't seem to switch channels. |

| Hi, I've got the same problem. If you revert back to an earlier svn it works. I choose the one from march 28, but that was at random, so others might work as well. You only need to revert the client plugin, not the server. I know it's not a real solution, but I hope it helps anyway. |

Country: | Ciao, same problem here. Version 14282 of TvPlugin is very unstable. Following joniru's notes on using an older version (14058) seem to solve (???) this strange behaviour. I can confirm, the problem is in the client plugin. PG |

Country: | Hi, I am observing the same issue. This is really one of the big bugs right now. Maybe someone can move this thread to the "bug reports" section because it is not a support request but a bug report. |

here you go. Please find below the traces. It takes a while but finally I got the error again after several channel switches. I am using the SVN 14265 (21.04.). If the issue occurs, the file "live2-0.ts.tsbuffer1.ts" is played from the beginning instead of the live TV. I have then switched to "Das Erste" and several other channels but always, the timeshift buffer is played instead of the new channel. However, the OSD shows the correct new channel but it is not played... Finally, the correct channel was played again (last channel switch in the logs). Therefore, please look at the channel switched before the last one to see the problem... I have then stopped the TVServer and tried to start it again to see, if this fixes the problem but the TV server could not be started again. In the Windows XP event manager, I habe a error report after that. Please find it attached. Last edited by MPUserFromGER; 2007-04-25 at 20:31. | |

Country: | Hi, is there any update on this? I have this problem (after channel change, the timeshift buffer is payed instead of live TV) every evening when watching live TV and this is quite annyoing because if this happens, you have to stop TV and enter it again. |

| Retired Team Member | this is a MAJOR bug indeed, but I suggest you to revert back to the earlier working svn like I did until the team get it fixed, they are aware of the issue. TVEngine3 Snapshot: 04-30-2007 09-59h Revision 14458 MP - [Info.][3]: Version: SVN Build 14454 (29.04.2007 / 1:35 CET) here's my report: TV-Server Version: MediaPortal Version: 0.2.2 MediaPortal Skin: B2 Windows Version: Windows XP Professional SP2 IT CPU Type: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3500+ Venice Core, MMX, 3DNow, ~2.2GHz HDD: 80GB system disk, 300GB external eSATA II RAID1 array Memory: 1GB DDR KingSton Motherboard: Asus A8N-VM CSM Motherboard Chipset: nForce 430 Motherboard Bios: Video Card: nVidia GeForce 6150 Video Card Driver: Sound Card: Soundmax HD Audio -> optical out -> Pioneer VSX-516 -> 6.1 Sound Card AC3: Sound Card Driver: 1. TV Card: Technotrend SkyStar I PCI 3. TV Card Type: DVB-S 3. TV Card Driver: 4. TV Card: 4. TV Card Type: 4. TV Card Driver: MPEG2 Video Codec: nVidia Purevideo MPEG2 Audio Codec: nVidia Purevideo Satelite/CableTV Provider: DiSEqC 1.0 -> 1) HotBird 13E - 2) Astra 19.2E HTPC Case: Zalman HD160 Cooling: Power Supply: Remote: MCE Remote + Logitech Harmony 525 TV: Samsung LCD 32" LE 32R76B TV - HTPC Connection: HDMI -> DVI-D lead Steps to reproduce: 1) start MP 2) jump to TV 3) acknowledge the known bug of no audio/video detected with OK 4) select a channel from channels 5) tv is played 6) go fullscreen 7) OK for miniepg 8) select next channel then OK 9) TS is played from the beginning. For what I could see, there's no apparent logic about WHEN it starts from the beginning and when it jumps to right position, just noticed a slight preference to fail when zapped channels are on same transponder.
