AC3 + S/PDIF cause not possible to play video - Page 2

I had the same issue as above. Today I reinstalled the following:

PowerDVD 8;
AC3 Filter;
Haali Media Splitter;
MP RC1;
FFDSHOW;
CoreAVC;
VSFilter;

All the above are the latest versions released, the problem has been fixed

been going at this fo rsome time with no luck, not done power dvd yet as been holding off but i have suspected its the dvd codec thats needed. would have thought MP or FFDShow would have had it tho. will try and post back
