Country: | I have done my homework, but I still need some advice on this. I believe I'm right when I say there isn't an option to adjust these in MP. Is there? Is it on "to do" list? I tried the following: -Some settings are available for the default decoder. But it has no sharpness setting and I do not use default decoder. -Some people say settings can be found in NVIDIA decoder. But the icon in systray only flashes for a moment and dissapears, so I cannot access the properties. Besides, I do not use NVIDIA decoder. -I can set these with the Hauppauge tweak tool. But it won't be saved. I set the sharpness to 7, but it always reverts to 5. -I thought of postprocessing with FFDSHOW. But I haven't succedded attaching it to graph. With other programs I was able to use FFDSHOW by selecting "all supported" setting for "Raw Video". It worked only in overlay. There isn't overlay now in MP. How do i make FFDSHOW work? Anything else I could try? Funny, there aren't many posts about picture adjustments. Don't people need to adjust picture? |

Country: | I still don't see NVIDIA icon. I think it has something to do with the fact I have two NVIDIA decoders. One I got with NVDVD, and the other is Pure video. Nevertheless the only decoder that works for me with MP is Intervideo because video originated footage(football games, live tv shows, news) looks like video (interlaced) on my TV. With all other decoders it has that movie-like motion I can't stand. As for "In my system ffdshow only works with avis and audio for tv" I don't know avis is? |

Country: | Video Card: GeForce 6600GT (Passively cooled) Video Card Driver: 91.xx 1. TV Card: Hauppauge 1. TV Card Type: WinTV-PVR 500 1. TV Card Driver: 2.0.43.24108 TV: 28" CRT (Old B&O) TV - HTPC Connection: S-VHS I having the same issue as well.. In My TV, the picture looks slightly "dead" compared to just watching TV. I'm more or less happy with the way the picture looks, sharpness and detail is quite good, but it lacks color and intensity - And I'm sure turning up brightness and contrast would solve this - Only I can't figure out how.. I can easily do it on the GFX card, but that doesn't solve the problem as that'll do it system wide, and it's specifically a TV problem - Anywere else, I'm very very happy with how things look.. It should also be said, that recorded TV has the same issues - Looks "dead".. I've tried the Hauppauge Tweaker, and while it certainly saves the settings, it does nothing for neither watching TV, neither recorded.. Hope someone has some good pointers !.. Btw.. Tried changing the brightness / contrast settings in WinTV2000.. Didn't help either...

| You will need to change the contrast/saturation in the video codec you are using. As this varies from codec to codec, you will need to look up how to do this in your specific case. |

Country: | I'm using nVidias Purevideo all around the system - And as far as I know, that has nothing to do with the recording part right ?.. But since I'm very happy with how everything else looks, DVDs, DivX files, WMV HD clips etc, I don't think tampering with the Purevideo thing will be a good idea.. I'm sure I have to find a way to set this on the TV card.. And as said, the Hauppauge Tweaker does nothing for me... unfortunately...
