Default avi not playing with RC1 + ffdshow

Hi,

I try to get run the function to play a .avi file, but I still fail.

I am using the RC 1 and installed ffdshow.

Is it a problem, when VLC is also installed on the machine ?

I get a failure message in the log file "err.log", which is telling me a mail function and a problem with the a access to the unprotected memory.

Edit:
2008-06-03 21:00:38.156250 [ERROR][MPMain]: VideoPlayer9:exception while creating DShow graph Attempted to read or write protected memory. This is often an indication that other memory is corrupt. at DirectShowLib.IGraphBuilder.RenderFile(String lpcwstrFile, String lpcwstrPlayList)

How can I get this run ?

Ritchie

Not jet.

I installed Divx for a short time. During that time, Windows Player shows the video.
But not MP.

Therefore i uninstalled Divx after this test.

Now even the Windows Media Player is crashing, when I try to play an AVI File
