Default Cannot play avc1 .mkv files in MP
Please help, when i select the file, nothing happens! Heres posting of the logs:

Thanks in advance, i'd really like to get this working

Oh, also note i just tried renaming the file to .mp4 to see if it made any difference, it was originally a .mkv file.

I have got the exact same problem. With the exact same error lines. In MediaPortal II and Windows (w/o MediaPortal) it runs fine. So I do have the right codecs for the job.

*slaps forehead*... that fixed it I didn't realise we had to install extra codecs despite windows playing them. Cheers!

Rambo 2 does work. And the only difference in codec and such is that Rambo 1 has subs integrated.

I managed to fix it. It seems CCCP Codec Project pack does not work that well with MP. Deinstall it and follow this: UserGuides/codecs and containers - MediaPortal Wiki Documentation plus the guide from Goose!

Okay, I've followed the guide closely and don't have CCP installed and I STILL can't play about half my mkv files. Any ideas?
