Default Checking Hardware Acceleration

I set in Television Video Decoder Power DVD 7 and in DirectShow Filter Control "Hardware Acceleration".

How could i check whether or not is hardware acceleration activated?

---

Do i need to change the settings in Power DVD 7 directly or always in MP?

Run live TV with hardware acceleration activated and look at the CPU usage and without and look at it.

Thanks but is there no other solution to see it?
For example with graphedit?

Try DXVA checker
DXVA Checker ƒXƒNƒŠ[ƒ“ƒVƒ‡ƒbƒg - or google other DL site

Is there any difference aside from lower cpu usage cmpared with NO hardware acceleration?
When is VMR9 active? Always or only in hardware acceleration mode?

Yes, the picture tends to be sharper and deinterlacing is much better as it is done in the hardware. Typical deinterlacing schemes are relatively primitive compared to what can be done on a graphics card. Additionally, depending on your hardware, graphics cards can do subpixel processing that would bring a quad core to its knees. This is the purevideo that NVIDIA keeps mentioning.

Thanks for the info!
So after activating "hardware acceleration" all deinterlacing settings are useless?
For example in the graphic card options or in the mp option under VMR9?!

It will depend on your decoder. It won't hurt to pick the one that sounds the most advanced. Something with the name "adaptive" in it is usually the best. Generally, the decoder should default to the best, however in case it doesn't the MP setting may choose it for you. I'm not really sure, I've never worked on that specific part of the setup.

When i activate the hardware acceleration i have sometimes stuttering tv!
10 seconds its good, 0,5 - 1 seconds stuttering ... and so on!

This is only when i activate deinterlacing on my graphic card and set it to something with adaptive in it!
