| Portal Member | I think I have a codec issue which I'm trying to resolve outside of MP. As I've mentioned before whenever I run HD films (720p atm) from files .mp4/.mkv the sound lagged behind the video by about a second or two. I did a clean OS on a different partition and reinstalled the codecs as per the codec guide. (no MP yet) Using FFDshow as the codec took a lot of processing power and it was skipping occasionally and it was maxing out one core (AMD 3800X2) so I put on CoreAVC and it plays the HD files OK but I then have a problem with the audio lagging. Using graphstudio I see that I have the following when using that set up:- HD file ----> CoreAVC ----> FFD Video Decoder ----> Overlay Mixer ----> Video Renderer ¦ ------> FFD Audio Decoder ----> DirectSound Renderer I think I have deselected all the x264 mp4 options in FFDshow but it still brings the codec into the graph each time I run it; any ideas how I can remove FFD from the flow. I have also created a graph as follows:- HD file -----> CoreAVC ----> VMR9 Renderer ¦ ------> FFD Audio Decoder ----> DirectSound Renderer And it seems to check out OK(ish) in the test option though it seems to lose the really dark parts of the film and they end up going white, but I don't know whether this is just because it runs through the graphstudio. I have tried VMR7 and VMR and I ended up getting similar issue. However, although I can save the graph and run it through graphstudio is there any way of making my graph the default rather than the first graph that I gave above so when I view the HD film in MediaPlayerClassic my graph is used. Have I missed anything obvious, or shall I try another x264 codec (such a PDVD7/8) Any help would be much appreciated.
