Compression plugin not working

Memory: 1024 Mb "noname"
Motherboard Chipset: VIA k8t800pro+vt8327
Video Card: HIS Radeon X700 pro turbo
Video Card Driver: Catalyst 5.11
Video Card Resolution: 720x576
Video Render Type: VMR9
Video Codec Type & Version: Elecard mpeg2 -> Xvid
Audio Codec Type & Version: Elecard mpeg2 -> Xvid
TV Card: Hauppague PVR150 MCE
TV Card Type: Hardware
TV Card Driver: "latest" as of 060122

When i try to compress my recordings from ms-dvr to xvid using the plugin Mediaportal just reports "Error". Why is this? I downloaded a codecpack which contained the Elecard mpeg2 decoder according to the statement made when the compression plugin is started.

Any suggestions? Are there any more settings that must be made?

1. Delete the codec pack, it WILL cause you more trouble than it's worth.
2. Install and register the Cyberlink DirectShow filters MPGMUX.AX & CLDUMP.AX in the MediaPortal folder.
3. Source and install the Elecard codec.
4. Source and install the Xvid codec.

He means to find it and install it. Source meaning to find a source for it and get it.
