Default Cyberlink / Coreavc codecs x.264

Hi,

Hope someone has had a simular problem here.

I have issue playing X.264/ x.264 encoded back ups. Coreavc plays these perfectly but Cyberlink (with hardware accel enabled) will play but stutter.

I have set up Coreavc to only decode the above type files , but the filter merits still choose Cyberlink.

I cannot de-select this type of file in Cyberlink, in the options it is under the selection for all mpeg 4 types h.264/ avc , they are not listed seperatly .

I want the hardware accel as It works perfectly, but I'm struggling to find a way for the system to load coreavc for x.264 only, and cyberlink for the rest.

Anybody have a step by step on how I can do this.

Thanks

What HARDWARE are you trying to push the cyberlink through, as that can make a difference (all GPU's are not equal ).

Does graphedit confirm this, have you selected Coreavc under MP setup\movies\movieplayer as H264 decoder.

Hi,

ATI radeon 1950xt 256mb..

Yes, graphedit confirmed this. I don't want to use Coreavc for h.264, just x.264 as the cyberlink will not do this
with hardware assistance enabled.

If I add the filter post processing or as main filter then as with graphedit it plays perfect for the x.264 encoded file.

But If i add coreavc in post processing for normal h.264/ avc movies then they won't play(conflict with cyberlink I think).

This does not matter which player I use, its the same.

I just want coreavc for x.264 and X.264
And cyberlink for everything else.
