DD&PCM OK over S/PDIF but no DTS Output

Hi, I want to move from Nero Home to Media Portal but have a set of MPEG Videos with DTS Audio (split from a Music DVD's by Chapter). Media Portal is working perfectly outputing PCM and DD Audio over S/PDIF, but I get no DTS Output. I have tried both the included CODECS, and FFDAudio but the same results.

These files play fine outputing DTS if I use Nero Showtime as the player but would prefer to use the inbuilt player.....

Just tested a DTS DVD on my set up...worked ok (had to select the DTS audio track using the green button on my mce remote)

Im using the standard mpa codec ...under decoder filters tab in setup I have both sp/dif checked and pcm 32bit checked and nothing else.

btw..Im using a optical jack harvested out of an old dvd player connected to the sp/dif header on my motherboard.
