Hi folks,
I played around a little w/ improving picture quality (resizing an sharpen) which it does quite well but stresses my CPU. I figured out that I should have different settings for different sources: I need to sharpen my TV input a lot for a good picture (well, it's just analogue) but it's way too much for divx videos (too crispy). Is there any chance to make settings dependable from sources? I need this info prior to think about a better CPU.

Hi,
In media center I used to change ffdshow setting in this way.
1- make a backup of your 2-or 3 differents configs, they're *.reg files
2- clean the reg files form everithing but the setting you really need (I've done this for the s/pif on/off)
3- now you can swithc from one config to the other by launching the correct reg file (and updating in this way the windows regitry)
4- to do this in MP you have to add a link to the files in myprograms

...it's a rough way... but it works, until we have a graphical frontend for fftshow ....

bye

Hi,

well. You can define presets within ffdshow and tell it, when these should be applied. I haven't played around with those much. In the Live-TV graph the filter "live.tvt" is added, so you might choose this option to let a preset kick in. Or you could add the file extension *.dvr-ms.

Perhaps this helps. See attached screenshots.

Flip.
