dixv movie disables MP controls

hi all
I have a small problem in that when I play a divx movie from within MP teh film plays fine but none of the pause/play rewind buttons works in fact nothing work not even escape. I have feeling the divx player has somehow grabbed the keyboard or some popup menu has come up behind MP. I'm using the latest version of divx player should i maybe switch to using ffdshow to play divx instead?

Any help would be appreciated.

If you uninstall the DIVX codec and install FFDShow Tryout, and see what you think of the picture quality.

It's not going to break anything, so always worth a try.

Known issue with latest DivX I am afraid.

Was presented with a fix - but can't remember it (try searching the forums).

Mediaportal looses focus to the divx tray icon that appears while playing divx files. Select the option to keep Mediaportal "Always on top" and it should work

Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.
