Do i need Media player 9 !!!!!

Iam just using whatever version is with Xp and Whatever is in Sp2.

Ive just got FFDshow installed using that for Divx and Xid and whatever else it can do. I have also Purevideo latest version installed. Iam using that for all my Video and Audio for Tv and normal videos.

I like my HD and have many HD videos and like my HD TV to. Just wondering if i even need MP 9 at all and shoudli bother installing it ??

as mediaportal uses the core functionality of windows mediaplayer you NEED to have it installed to have mediaportal working properly

every playback in mediaportal is based on windows media player which means prety much: no WMP, no moving pictures in MP (-;

if it's now WMP9, WMP10 or even 11 is your choice *g*

but i guess it's shipped with XPSP2 anyway isn't it?

Not sure whats in SP2 MP8 or MP9 ??

Either way i think ill install mp10 and install those three needed patches for DVb-t and HD Tv and video playing. Now where did i put them HMMMMMMMM.

Loveing the no crashing and tv no quiting of the new SVN build

Hopfully the new patches wont duck things up. Do you recomend i download all patches possibl eoff the MS site and then update the patches or just download the patches recomended and dump the rest. Its just my HTPC and used for nothing else.
