Ive tried playing with lots of settings, updated drivers and tried searching to no avail CPU usage during playing of 1080p X264 is only 40-50% so i dont think its a cpu issue ? (altho it sounds like one) cheers |

| hi luna_s, thank you for the info, but can u give more detail guide how to fix, i have very similar problem as yours. I tried use MP setup -movie-player to select ac3 as audio player, not fixed and when I use MP in window (not full screen) mode I can still see ffshow video/audio icon on right bottom task bar, so seems like MP still use ffshhow as audio player |

| install ac3filter ..google it if u dont have it it has an option for spdif out audio, make sure DTS is enabled (u can enable mpeg audio, dts and ac3) go to the MP config app..make sure under "Movies", that u are using AC3FILTER done. i found this out as i have a 1080p x264 with dts and mpa filter(with spdif switched on) was still stuttering...tho its largely a lack of CPU that forces u to use ac3filter rather than something else whereas ac3filter uses much less CPU ...therefore causing less/no stutters when i got my new pc i could use any audio filter i wanted and had no stuttering
