Default DVD Playback is slow/stuttering

I have some serious problem getting DVD playback to work.
The playback stutter... it is almost like its playing in slow motion.
Not the usual stutter.
I have the same error in Windows media player 10.
It works fine with PowerDVD 6 and WinDVD 7.
I have tried all the usual codecs in MP.
Looks like its a wmr9 issue?
Anyone that has experienced the same problem??

Interesting one Mac500

As WMP uses codec from dvd software ie Powerdvd or Windvd.
What happens if Media player set as default for playback of DVD,
If that does not cure, then back too the old adadge reformat and reinstall windows (with your preferred DVD ie either powerDVD or WinDVD).
I do not know how many posts you have read, but corruption in media player files a real B***** to solve and uninstalling and reinstalling does not seem to help.
