dx9 exclusive mode stops working sometimes

Synopsis::

i use MP in windowed mode on my desktop.
I have my nVidia drivers set to display anything thats print to the video overlay buffer to my tv (via composite). I use nVidia's DualView option.
I love the way I can have MP windowed on my screen and fullscreen on my TV. But sometimes out of the blue it just stops working. None of Mps menus or OSD will go to the overlay buffer. When I play a video that goes to overlay/TV, its all distorted with a green bar at the top of the screen. But it doesn't show any OSD. I can play a video in VLC and It prints to the overlay just fine with no distortion.

I also get this is my log when it's happening:

It shows up just after all the skin animations are loaded.
But I dont see itin the log at all when Its working correctly.

Sometimes restarting the system helps. Sometimes not.
