Which external player?

hey all

Which external player is best for DVD playback in MP?
1) WinDVD7
2) PowerDVD6
3) TheatherPro 2.2?

In terms of codec and/or image quality...

I seem to have a problem finding out how to make my iMon remote work for controlling an external players when it is launched from within MP....

Dvd is a area apparantly changes have been made.
Now recommend under settings\dvd use dvd navigator (default) with individual codec of your choice. play a few minutes of the same film and pick whichever codec is best for you.
Unfortunately as i am spoilt for choice, have access to all these programs, and still torn between nvidia/windvd7 not much in it from my point of view.
Cannot help with remote, but someone will.

Well, I have "access" to those 3 programs also... but have problems making external player work properly with MP...

Hi PhanTom. I am having exactly the same problem launching and running TheaterTek within MP and controlling with my iMon remote. I have set up TheaterTek correctly with the iMon controller software and mapped all of the control keys, so it runs fine stand alone. However, when launced as an external DVD player from within MP I seem to loose all control with my remote. No fix yet, but will let you know if I find something.

Well, according to this thread (http://forum.team-mediaportal.com/viewtopic.php?t=14770) there is an issue with the nVida Purevideo codec with an ATI card causing DVD navigatio issues. This matches my setup and may be the problem. When I get home I will try a different codec and see what happens.

hi, so you mean maybe this problem comes from nvidia codec with Ati card?

Upload Logs\Pictures etc, use the "Go Advanced" and select the + feature to upload\attach files.
